Nampa Valley Little League

Majors Division

Majors Division

The NVLL Majors Division is more competitive than Minors AAA baseball.  Majors teams will be selected from the draft, players age is 11 and 12. All league age 12 year olds play Majors.  Player assessment is required, players are placed on teams by draft.

MAJORS DIVISON:  Majors division players should demonstrate skill, leadership, and maturity while enhancing all skills development, rules knowledge, and situational baseball play in a competitive environment. Managing style may or may not dictate equal playing time; however, minimum play rules will be followed. There will be an end-of-season tournament.

PLAYER ASSESSMENTS: Assessment is required for all potential Majors eligible players. The assessments are used to determine the level of play. Teams are formed by draft.

REGULAR SEASON: The kids have developed into baseball players once they reach the Majors division. Some players will blossom in this more competitive environment. It is very enjoyable to watch. The best players from the Major League can sign-up for the 11/12 All-Star Team for tournament play at the end of the regular season. Potentially this team could play at the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA.  Major teams will play interleague games with teams from other Little Leagues in the valley.
