Nathan Emerson – President

Nathan loves the game of baseball and has a passion for coaching and teaching others. A graduate of Columbia High School in Nampa, he pitched at Northwest Nazarene University in 2014 before beginning his career as a Software Engineer. Nathan has coached high school basketball, middle school travel baseball, and tee ball.

In the summer of 2009, he played on the Nampa Valley Little League Juniors Division All-Star team that won the Idaho State Tournament and advanced to the West Region Tournament in Aliso Viejo, CA.

Nathan is an active member of his church and the Nampa community, and he loves the joy that baseball brings to kids and their families.

Sean Sargenti – Vice President of Baseball, Safety Officer

Sean is a proud husband and father who loves Jesus and his family above all else. He has a son and daughter who inspire him every day. Sean works as a project superintendent for a large local construction company and is grateful to be part of the Little League community.

Katie Azevedo – Secretary

Dr. Katie Azevedo is the Owner and Founder of Azevedo Consulting and Results Learning Center, where she partners with state agencies, school districts, and organizations dedicated to supporting today’s youth. Her work centers on creating positive, consistent, and supportive environments that empower both students and staff to thrive. Outside of work, Katie enjoys spending time with her family and friends and is excited about the bright future of Nampa Valley Little League.

Jeremy Sankwich – Treasurer

Jeremy serves as the Vice President of Consumer Lending at CapEd Credit Union in Meridian, Idaho. Jeremy has extensive expertise in portfolio management, auto lending, residential real estate lending, home improvement lending and financial counseling. Jeremy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and a Master’s Degree in Management and Strategic Leadership. Over the years, he has led mortgage and consumer lending teams while working with Credit Unions in Washington State and now Idaho, where he resides with his wife and children.

Nichelle Dunn – Player Agent

Nichelle is a born and raised Idahoan, who works for Idaho Department of Correction and absolutely loves what she does. She and her husband Van have been married for 10 years. Van is a teacher and coach within the Nampa School District. They have two amazing kids that love and live for baseball season! Their family has been part of Nampa Valley Little going on 5 years and this will be year 3 on the Board of Directors. She is excited for this coming season and all the great things we have planned for NVLL!

David Lopez – Equipment Manager

David's appreciation for baseball began during his earliest years in T-ball and continued throughout his high school playing career. Today, that passion remains strong and has only grown as he watches his children become involved in the sport. Baseball has been a consistent and meaningful thread throughout his life, and he sees it as a privilege to see it carried forward into the next generation.

Beau Dahlgren – Recruitment Coordinator

With seven years of experience as a school administrator, Beau brings organizational expertise and a deep dedication to kids and families. As a Little League parent for four years, Beau is excited to help strengthen the league’s programs and community.

Sheryl Phillips

Sheryl has been involved with Little League for over 20 years — first cheering on her son when he was little, and now getting the joy of watching her grandkids play. It’s been wonderful to stay connected to the game and the community all these years.
