Nampa Valley Little League
General Information
Season:
The NVLL regular season runs the 3rd week of March (start of practices) through approximately the 1st week of June. For younger players (4 – 8 year olds), the regular season ends the 3rd week of May (no end-of-season tournament).
Teams:
· T-Ball* & Rookie (coach pitch) teams are simply formed using an equal distribution of 4 - 6 year olds per T-Ball team and 7 & 8 year olds per Rookie team. Scores/league standings are not kept. At this level, we are usually able to accommodate special requests.
· For players aged 9-11, NVLL utilizes a skills evaluation process as the basis for team formation. The 9– 12 year old age group (60 foot bases) is divided into three divisions; AA, AAA and Majors. AA typically consists of 9-10 year olds. AAA (baseball only) typically consists of advanced 10-year olds and 11-year olds. AA and AAA teams are formed using skills evaluation numbers to achieve an equal distribution of ability amongst the teams. At this level, we may be able to accommodate special requests.
· Majors typically consists of advanced 11-year olds and all 12-year olds. However, pending skill level, younger players may be assigned to a higher division with parental consent. Majors teams are formed through a draft process. At this level, special requests may be considered, but not at the expense of draft integrity.
· Additionally, 8-year old players may also participate in our skills evaluation process to determine readiness for player-pitch baseball. However, any 8-year old who demonstrates adequate ability will be limited to participation at the AA level.
· Players aged 13-14 compete in our Juniors division. Juniors teams are also formed through a draft process. Again, special requests may be considered, but may not adversely affect the draft process.
Schedules:
· Ages 4 - 8 baseball players: T-Ball & Rookie level kids play 12-14 game schedules. T-Ball games are typically held on Tues./Thurs. evenings. Rookie games are typically held on Mon./Wed. evenings. However, occasional games may be scheduled for other weekday evenings or Saturdays.
· Ages 9 & up baseball players: AA, AAA, Majors & Juniors level kids play 16-22 game schedules. Game schedules vary pending interleague play agreement with surrounding little league programs. If possible, NVLL schedules away games on Saturdays.

• Fields for T-Ball/Rookie teams are located at the Optimist Park facility. Baseball fields for 9-12 year old players are located at Optimist Park, Birch Elementary and Lakeview Park (Les Goodman field).
